Community Involvement

At TGA we are passionate about our local community! We believe the local community is one of our most valuable resources and in turn, give back in any way we can. Our biggest fundraiser is for Pink Ribbon Day where The Grove Academy raised almost $2,000 for the Cancer Council in 2015. To continue to raise awareness for such charities, The Grove Academy endeavours to match any funds raised for these worthy causes. Other fundraisers held here at The Grove Academy include; Afternoon Teal for Ovarian Cancer Australia, the Bandaged Bear Appeal for The Children’s Hospital at Westmead and The World’s Greatest Shave for the Leukaemia Foundation, to name a few! All parents and families are invited and encouraged to join us during these special events, it’s a great chance to socialise while giving back to the community!

RMH Partnership

We’ve also formed a partnership with The Ronald McDonald House Westmead to support their Learning Program. The Grove Academy chose to support RMH as we both strongly believe in the value of education for young children. The Learning Program helps children with serious illness catch up on their missed education following lengthy hospital stays and absence from school. The program is often the first step towards normalcy for seriously ill children and their families and sends a clear message that we believe in their future. To represent our partnership all Grove educators wear a yellow polo every Friday!
