Area Manager & Centre Director at Mascot 1
I have a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care and have worked in the industry for over 13 years, more than 4 of those as a Centre Director at the Grove. During this time I have learnt a lot about how important the role of an educator is and how rewarding the career can be by helping children learn and develop to their full potential. I, therefore place a high importance on guiding and mentoring my staff to ensure they are highly motivated in their roles as educators and are positive role models.
I believe the best way to teach a child is to guide the child in a positive manner. Each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and stimulating atmosphere in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically and socially.
I also recognise the importance of the relationship between myself, my staff and parents/carers. I believe parents and carers need to work closely and develop partnerships with the educators to meet each child’s developmental needs.
